Voice Recognition Software... what is it?
WHAT ON EARTH IS IT?
Speech Recognition (also known as Automatic Speech Recognition or Computer Speech Recognition) basically converts spoken words to machine-readable input. The term "Voice recognition" may also refer to speaker recognition, which attempts to identify the person speaking, as opposed to what is being said. Cool isn't it??
The applications for this recognition include voice dialing, call routing, domotic appliance control and content-based spoken audio search, simple data entry, preparation of structured documents, speech-to-text processing, and in aircraft cockpits.
APPLICATIONZ
1)Health Care
2)Military
*High-performance Fighter Aircraft
*Helicopters
*Battle management
*Training air-traffic Controllers
3)Telephony
4)People with Disabilities
FURTHER APPLICATIONS
*Automatic translation
*Automotive speech recognition
*Telematics
*Court reporting
*Hands-free Computing
*Home automation
*Interactive voice response
*Mobile telephony
*Multimodal interaction
*Pronunciation evaluation in computer-aided language learning applications
*Robotics
*Transcription
*Speech-to-text
*Air-traffic Control Speech Recognition

Computer Literacy : COMPUTERS
Apparently computers do have their advantages and disadvantages.
ADVANTAGES
Speed
Reliability
Storage
Consistency
Communication
DISADVANTAGES
Violation of piracy
public safety
impact on labor force
health risk
impact on environment
Then there is this thing called the "Network"
Network is basically used to share resources, hardware devices, software program, data AND information. Besides that, it saves time and energy.
And then there is the "Server"
The server is something like the 'supervisor' of the network. It basically controls access to resources on a network. Usually clients (or resources) request resources from the server.
